Job Description

On behalf of our World Class Manufacturing client, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Process/Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and manage the plans required to execute launch based vehicle programs at MAP
  • Provide leadership throughout a new model development program and lead manufacturing assembly builds
  • Implementation of new/modified tooling, error proofing and facilities based on product and process changes
  • Support tooling buy-off at the vendor facilities as applicable
  • Write/modify/maintain process sheets as required
  • Lead assembly tooling installation, start-up, and commissioning at the assembly site
  • Prepare and lead management presentations
  • Identify, drive and lead issue resolution and reporting for Chassis, I/P loop and Trim. End of Line (EOL) may be required
  • Drive quality, cost, and labor improvements
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor degree preferred but not required, Bachelor degree in engineering preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in vehicle final assembly in an automotive environment
  • Machine design knowledge and experience
  • Experience w/tooling, processes and facilities required
  • CAD experience required
  • Automotive Manufacturing Engineering experience required
  • Strong analytical ability who is able to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic working environment and diverse team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player and willing to take a leadership tote in a project setting
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to operate in stressful situations within timing constraints and the ability to work with minimal direct supervision-
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Working knowledge of statistics (control charts, data collecting, etc.)
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Interior, Exterior, Chassis, Powertrain, Electrical, End of Line
  • Error proofing experience preferred
