Job Description

On behalf of our World Class Manufacturing client we are currently recruiting for an experienced Process/Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop product processes aligned to standard Bill of Process strategies through system inquiry, simultaneous engineering, build installation, and commissioning phases
  • Emphasis on delivery and continuous improvement of safety, quality and productivity
  • Interface with suppliers and product engineering
  • Responsible for equipment procurement
  • Purchasing system CPARS
  • Run - off equipment per company specifications at supplier and plant to validate capability and robustness, including safety
  • Ensure production systems meet objectives through R & M, process design and FMEA's
  • Develop plans for machine tryout parts (MTO), cost, quantity, location of build, quality, etc.
  • Lead simo engineering with supplier and plant staff
  • Support QOS 9000 and ISO 14000, PPAP, and QPQP processes
  • Support appropriate Six Sigma projects
  • Interface with plant personnel with appropriate timing and installation documentation, to ensure efficient/timely installation and validation
  • Use lessons learned to develop program studies and improve standard bill of processes
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preference given to candidates who hold an Engineering Degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in vehicle final assembly in an automotive environment (will also consider candidates with Engine / Transmission final assembly experience)
  • Machine design knowledge and experience
  • Process flow and process development experience
  • Strong analytical ability who is able to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic working environment and diverse team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player and willing to take a leadership tote in project setting
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD)
