Job Description

On behalf of our World Class Manufacturing client we are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the technical expert and cross-functional lead to ensure critical components are serviced in the most practical and efficient manner
  • Cross-functional collaboration with varying levels of management and technical leads
  • Support plan development and implementation for new model or system launch
  • Coordinate vehicle launch readiness tracking and reporting for security component
  • Support, track, troubleshoot, and resolve component-related product issues
  • Mature and evolve collective service model for applicable components
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of automotive technical experience in vehicle electrical systems to proactively support the aftermarket development process and manage over the life of the vehicle to ensure optimal service strategy and maintainability
  • Strong understanding of modern automotive electronics
  • Prior use of Computer Aided Drafting programs / 3-D visualizers (e.g. TeamCenter, NX)
  • Strong problem solving, planning and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and self-management skills
  • Strong communication skills -- written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Moderate - strong skills using office productivity tools, such as presentations, spreadsheets, word processor applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
  • May be required to drive a company vehicle – valid driver’s license & clean driving record required
  • May be required to travel – domestic & international (0-20%)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience with automotive autonomous or electrified powertrain technologies
  • Prior experience with automotive CAN bus or diagnostic communications
  • Previous experience interfacing with Engineering/manufacturing personnel
  • Dealer or other automotive repair experience
  • ASE Certifications
