Job Description

On behalf of our automotive client located in Windsor, ON, we are recruiting for a Supply Chain Management as a Full-time Direct placement.

  • Build world class supply chain standards in planning/IBP, transportation, distribution, logistics, and warehouse/terminal operations
  • Work closely senior leaders to set a vision, plan, and execute effectively
  • Drive innovation
    • Think outside the box to create a cutting-edge distribution network that excels in using conventional channels
    • Leverage the size and scope of current network and assets to create synergies across the organization using new ideas and data-driven insights
    • Lead logistics network optimization and supply chain strategy studies to continually ensure the network supports the organization s long-term objectives and creates value for the customer
    • Utilize best-in-class processes based in Visual
  • Metrics and analytics
    • Lead supply chain improvement projects and track performance using key metrics
    • Lead a collaborative team of supply chain employees to conduct supply chain improvement studies that provide meaningful, data-driven insights
    • Drive balanced scorecard for supply chain COE and actively manage overall performance to achieve desired targets
  • Establish accountability and governance
    • Create standard operating process across all product shelves and functions that seamlessly work together to deliver exceptional service to the field
    • Utilize best-in-class processes based in Visual, while improving on processes
  • Lead a proactive change management strategy
  • Continually liaise with other business functions to create value to our customers and break barriers between supply chain and the rest of the organization
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement and instill Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent degree
  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) preferred but not required
  • 10+ years in supply chain functional management
  • Extensive experience leading and implementing a supply chain transformation for a large and complex logistics network
  • Experience in assessing current state operating models, creating maturity models to identify areas of improvement, and executing on a plan
  • Experience with creating and using a balanced scorecard to track performance and improve key metrics
  • Experience with Visual system operation and capability
  • Demonstrates the ability to think strategically while also able to understand and account for detailed operational realities
  • Thorough understanding of supply/demand planning, logistics network optimization, inbound/outbound transportation, and has end-to-end supply chain experience
  • Lead or closely worked with major warehouse operations, including terminal, cross-dock, and other facility operations
  • Understands over-the-road (OTR) truck rate/routing and other transportation options
  • Experience managing or working in international supply chain operations
