Job Description

On behalf of our worldwide manufacturing and services organization client, we are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineering Consultant.

  • Reviews our customer's proposal request to obtain a complete understanding of the requested manufacturing process, and obtain any necessary clarifications from the customer
  • May visit the customer's on-site facility to view existing or similar manufacturing processes
  • Consults with internal departments to ensure compliance with customer specifications and part quality requirements, and consolidates their responses into the final proposal
  • Assist in the development of the cost estimate for new or redesigned product development
  • Support sales staff with answers to customer questions and concerns and assists with the technical presentation to our customer, including the development of technical presentation materials
  • Bachelor's degree/diploma preferred but will consider 2-3 years of regulators work experience
  • Experience with and understands regulators is a must
  • Five or more years of either machine tool design experience and/or training, or manufacturing engineering, CNC part programming, or similar part processing background; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Pneumatic experience a plus
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals and job cost reports
  • Ability to respond to customer inquiries or concerns
  • Ability to present information to customers and management
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Proficient in the use of word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software preferably in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using AS 400 software
  • Ability to maintain project documentation in an organized manner
  • Must be able to travel overnight occasionally
  • Overseas and international travel will be occasionally required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
