Job Description

On behalf of our World Class manufacturing client we are currently recruiting for an experienced Pension Analyst.


  • Process pension benefit calculations for retirements, deaths, terminations and prepare service credit reviews in accordance with the pension plan text and provincial regulatory requirements
  • Determine marital dispute calculations under provincial guidelines and record keeping requirements
  • Maintain and reconcile system data for annuitants, withdrawals and valuation reports
  • Prepare, verify and file tax and other legislative and regulatory requirements (AIRs,T4As, PAs, PSPAs, PARs)
  • Process of monthly pension payroll
  • Maintain pensioner data
  • Prepare and issue annual and biennial member pension statements
  • Implement internal control programs
  • Liaise with external auditors for financial statement preparation and verification
  • File plan and member correspondence
  • Communicate with members, employers, union representatives, plan actuaries and custodians regarding benefit entitlements; administration procedures and interpretations of plan provisions
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • PPAC desirable
  • Experience with defined benefit pension plans
  • Working knowledge of applicable pension and income tax legislation and regulations
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
