Job Description

On behalf of our client, a full service technology firm in Southwestern Ontario, we are recruiting for a Senior Technical Specialist to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide support for customers and internal staff in resolving technical issues
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal staff ensuring an exceptional customer and co-worker experience
  • Demonstrate excellent self-management skills by managing loose-ends and task follow-through
  • Perform timely administration using concise technical writing techniques that provide the customer and internal staff with professional documentation
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in Help Desk experience in Tier 2 and Tier 3 level
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or College diploma related in Computer Systems Technology
  • Advanced support knowledge of the following:
    • PC and server hardware
    • Microsoft OS (Windows 7, 8, and 10)
    • Microsoft Server 2008/2015/2016
    • Exchange Server/SQL management
    • Firewall, Router, Switches, Internet Security, Antivirus, VPN, and Backup
    • LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, SQL, Group Policies
    • Remote desktop applications
    • Network troubleshooting
    • Office 365, Office 2010 – 2019
    • Virtualization software such as Hyper-V and VMWare
  • Extensive knowledge in the implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of wireless, SAN, Terminal Services, Active Directory, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
