Job Description


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Mathematics from an ABET accredited college or university (other 4 year engineering degrees in combination with relevant experience may be considered)


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present to various types of audiences, at various levels of management
  • May be required to drive a company vehicle – valid driver’s license & clean driving record·
  • May be required to travel – domestic & international

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of system interface as well as development / analysis of system Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, Performance Specifications, Design Verification Plan and Report, Design Best Practices, Duty Cycles, Warranty data, and Statistical tools
  • Good understanding of OBD and after treatment systems
  • Experience with electrified powertrain systems
  • Proficient in MS Office as well as excellent communication skills


  • Powertrain Quality & Reliability Test Engineer to the High Mileage Reliability Test fleet for the Powertrain core engine, transmission, driveline and electrified propulsion programs
  • Hands on vehicle expert for vehicle level testing
  • Ensure that customer issues are identified, reported and resolved prior to product launch
  • Duties consist of: root cause analysis, hands-on vehicle evaluations/diagnosis, application of diagnostic tools/equipment, collecting and analyzing data, reporting and documenting issues, presenting information both written and verbal, participating in/facilitating meetings, directing drivers, mechanics and technicians, along with competitive vehicle benchmarking

Specific Duties:

  • Developing a test plan and ensure the test plan, once executed will meet the test acceptance criteria metrics
  • Identify targets during planning phase and ensure the test plan targets are met during test execution, including rotation through key environmental sites and emission tests results are signed off
  • Coordinate all retrofits, software and calibration updates, and ensure data collection is functioning as needed off of the vehicle
  • Support rapid resolution for the vehicle shut-downs, support the triage/diagnosis
  • Ensure all incidents are reported for transparency and disposed of properly
  • Publish weekly Reliability Demonstration updates
  • Publish daily status on test fleet and escalation notices
  • Maintain 75% or better uptime on fleet
  • Vehicle test preparation; ensuring replacement parts are on hand at the various test sites, all specifications are logged
