EDUCATION:

  • Minimum High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred

SKILLS:

  • General vehicle knowledge
  • Understanding of dealership operations
  • Knowledge of warranty and transportation standards and guidelines
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage repair requests
  • Ability to communicate with all supply chain partners
  • Ability to identify process gaps and recommend corrective actions
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient in Logistics and Warranty systems used by company Outbound Vehicle Logistics. If not proficient, candidate will be expected to quickly learn how to use the various systems
  • Attention to detail, responsible and innovative

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Vehicle Coordinator is responsible for reviewing all requests to repair vehicles in transit and not yet delivered to the final destination
  • The Vehicle Coordinator will dispatch affected vehicles to local repair facilities using the company website and track all repairs on a regular basis until completion
  • There will be regular follow-up with repair facilities to ensure all aspects of the repair are completed in a timely manner
  • The Vehicle Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing final work orders submitted by dealers for in transit repairs and determining final classification depending on the amount and type of damage
  • This will be done in accordance with the applicable state disclosure laws

Duties Include:

  • Receive In-transit repair requests via company website system from service providers
  • Contact final dealers to confirm if they will perform repair work
  • Review damage information submitted via company website and prioritize repair requests appropriately
  • Dispatch repairs to appropriate repair providers via company website
  • Verify provider received repair request via company website
  • Monitor repair time and follow up with repair providers as needed
  • Review final work order and divert units when required based on company guidelines
  • Confirm repair completion and re-entry into supply chain for delivery to final dealer
  • Confirm vehicle retrieval by auctions and other third parties for diverted units and close repair requests in company website
  • May be required to drive a company car. Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record
  • May be required to travel domestically
