Job Description

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Database Programming (SAP, Oracle, SQL, Express SQL, Microsoft Access, etc.)


SKILLS:
  • Software programming skills at least a level of creating macros in Access database and Excel
  • Good programming skills in SQL based languages including XML
  • Ability to create customer specific reports and also easy to use custom interfaces that enables easy data entry and manipulation by a new comer
  • Process oriented with good skills and experience in data structure


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop a user interface and custom schemas for various Corporate customers
  • Develop Powertrain brick elements structure considering Company TMS Europe structure for easy transfer between Corporate TMS EU and NA of brick elements for Global Projects
  • Develop new Brick Element structure for the input of details for the component and unit to be designed and manufactured in NA for North American Customers but keeping in mind the methods to commonize the structure for easy data transfer between the NA and EU divisions of Corporate TMS
  • Responsible for maintaining the developed database of brick element information and also for the rate structure updates based on exchange rates and currency fluctuations
  • Will work closely with purchasing to align costs for components in the database and how close it reflects the current available prices in the market for keeping the database current with market conditions and SAP cost returns per each Job
  • Will interface with Advance Processing and Estimating personnel to actively engage them in requirements development that will drive the database to become more user friendly and also enable the necessary training for the effective use of the database
  • To work with Engineering using EDS (Engineering Drawing Structure) to establish BOM and define bricks within the numbering system
