Education Level:
P. Eng in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Registration as a Professional Engineer with a minimum of 10 years EPC and petrochemical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience Level and Skills:
Senior level with minimum 7 years experience Professional Engineer with significant Petrochemical and EPCM experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, minimum 7 years with at least half of that Canadian based Solid understanding of project management and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/fields Working knowledge of the company's established guidelines, procedures and practices as well as other departments, suppliers and contractors Multi-discipline experience: knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines (Process, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Piping) Proficiency in planning and control methods Solid understanding of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria Proficiency in a variety of standard project management methods and techniques Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organizational, leadership and teamwork skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong team player and ability to handle multi-tasks at the same time Ability to meet assignment schedule and deliver quality products under pressure Self-motivated and goal-oriented Sound reasoning ability, high level of self-initiative, strong desire to acquire new knowledge and skills Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel) EPC/petrochemical experience a must
Position Responsibilities:
Perform various project assignments requiring general familiarity with project management work and coordinate the activities of various modernization/revamp projects Developing, approving and coordinating work schedules to ensure cost, quality and time objectives are met Developing and recommending improvements in design standards Investigating, advising and resolving complex design and field engineering problems Developing guidelines and initiating investigations Establishing and maintaining client contacts Providing technical guidance to co-workers Organizing and supervising work within a small work unit composed of employees
